The Honorable Mayor Tim Hurley will be guest conductor for the march, The Iowa Band Law March, which was written by Karl L. King and dedicated to Major. Geo. W. Landers, founder of the Iowa Band Law. Mayor Hurley will also narrate Casey at the Bat, a poem by Ernest Thayer put to music by Randol Bass. Terry Routt and son Carter will lead the “children” around the park during the Footlifter March . The American Hymn-Tune Trilogy includes Amazing Grace, Take my Hand, Precious Lord and There Will Be Peace in the Valley for Me. The Medley of Tony Bennett tunes include It had to be You, The Girl I love, The Good Life, They Can’t Take that Away from Me , Moonglow, A Foggy Day, It Don’t Mean a Thing.
