Last concert of the season. : - ( Dominique Cawley will be playing Rhapsody for Flute with the band. Dominique is a member of the Northwind Quintet and instructor of flute at Wartburg College. Melissa Brown, vocal soloist will be back singing two arias, O Mio Bambino Caro and Oh Patria Mia. Concert band selections feature the ever popular music of South Pacific, several marches and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Procession of the Nobles. The children’s march will be Robinson’s Grand Entry by Karl L. King. King an Iowa composer of many marches. Tunes from South Pacific include A Cock-eyed Optimist, There is Nothing Like a Dame, I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair, Younger Than Springtime and many more. The Thnderer was Mrs. Sousa’s favorite march. |
