Clinician for the 2010 event was Bob Havens.
Havens belongs to a family of
musicians from Quincy, Illinois. At the age of seven he began to learn how to play trombone and violin.

He was given his first scholarship from the Interlochen Music Camp in Michigan. Bob has also served in the Illinois National Guard as bandsman. In New Orleans he joined the George Girard's Dixieland Band and met his idol, "Jack Teagarden".
Bob has released the albums for Good Times
Jazz on Vic labels with the Girrad band and on Verve and Audio Fidelity with Al Hirt.

In 1960 he left the
band and pursued his career in West Coast and joined the Lawrence Welk Orchestra. Later he was a weekly featured soloist on the Lawrence Welk TV Series.  He remained with the show/band for 23 years.
From 1985 to 1995, Bob played with other artists like, "Bob Ringwald", "Don Nelson" and "Zeke Zarchy".

In 2005, he performed with the Pops Orchestra of North Carolina at the Campbell University.
